When Tate Collins moves in with her brother Corbin, the first person she meets is Miles Archer. Let's just say he doesn't make a good impression... But with time a strong attraction develops between them, and they make an arrangement. Miles isn't interested in love and Tate doesn't have time for love, so sex without any emotional ties should suit them fine. As long as Tate doesn't break Miles' two rules:
Never ask about the past.
Don't expect a future.
That should be easy, right?

WOW! Talk about an emotional roller coaster! I've been gasping, gritting my teeth and often had a silly smile on my face. I've been sighing (in a positive way) over the tender sex scenes, and closed my eyes before the grief (like that would help). I don't think I've ever been as captured by a book without any real story line; it's the characters that afflict you.

The book changes between now and then (6 years earlier), and between Tate's and Miles' perspective. Slowly we get to know what happened to Miles 6 years ago, and why he hasn't had a relationship since - and doesn't plan to ever have one. Without revealing too much I can only say that it's pretty brutal - and heartwrenching. I'll definitely remember Tate and Miles for a long time!
