Two Weeks Notice
by Whitney G.
I have read a couple of books by Whitney G before Two Weeks Notice, and have enjoyed them. So when Two Weeks Notice was released, I added it to my To Be Read list.
Tara is down on her luck. To the point where she is lining her bedroom window with condoms so that she can climb back in the window in case the landlord changes her locks. But her luck runs out when she is caught sneaking into a hotel to eat their complimentary breakfast by the owner of the hotel. He sees something in her, though, and after learning of her degrees, offers her a position as his executive assistant. Preston is not easy to work for. He goes through EA quite frequently. He hopes that Tara will break that streak. And she does, but at the expense of her personal life. The two of them are attracted to each other, while Tara really hates him. Thus, giving him her two weeks notice. But Preston is not deterred.
Two Weeks Notice was a nice change for me, as I normally do not gravitate toward rom-coms. Whitney G can write some funny scenes, and gives her characters a lot of personality. This was a quick read, but one that I greatly enjoyed!
