Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

4.0

Great book! Fast read! There was mostly a lot of world and character building in this book and Jacob learning mostly about his Grandfathers past. Towards the end of the book then it started to get exciting where Jacob and the Peculiar's fight the monsters to save Miss Peregrine.

I really loved reading this book. The photographs also makes the book feel really gothic like and creepy which I like.

The only thing I don't like- (I shouldn't have watched the movie before reading the book)- is that they switched Emma and Olive.

I do rather Emma in the movie more than the book but it's nice that the movie wasn't like the book completely and there were more interesting scenes in the book than they were used in the movie.

Overall I really recommend this book and I can't wait to read the sequel Hollow City to see what happens next!
