Anxiety and Wonder

With every passing year, I grow increasing disillusioned by the lack of wonder, excitement and awe within our everyday lives. The most salient example of an area of life that lacks such qualities, for me at least, is that of work. As a young man, attempting to figure out what to do for work is an incredibly anxiety-producing pursuit. What's more, because of the importance of work in our culture, it is often the epicentre of our decision making. Who do you spend most of your time with? What books do you read? What city do you live in? Where do you think you'll live next? For me, such questions lead to an even bigger question, what is life about?


To me, this book was able to answer that question, perhaps not completely, but in part. We must engage in child-like play, free of judgement and full of life.
