beautiful story about sibling love, intergenerational trauma, and old hollywood.
tjr really knows how to love multilayered characters, which is always so fun to read, and the setting over the course of one night was so different from her other books, but i loved it. plus, her way of seamlessly changing povs was amazing, it reminded me of lessons in chemistry’s way of changing povs.
i’m a bit on the fence on how i feel about the stories of the side characters. on one hand, it’s really cool to see fleshed out side-characters under the same roof, but sometimes i just wanted to go back to the main story HAHA.
