Absolutely vile and insufferable characters but I couldn’t stop reading 😳 I think the point was how religion/capitalism is used to control over people who don’t know any better. Those in power are often terrible people who couldn’t care less for those under them. It had an overall theme of life is meaningless/“stupid” which is pretty annoying after a while. Not sure what to think!
