Sad to say I didn't enjoy this book as much as the previous two. It's a new setting, with a majority of the book being set in Faerie, and that along with the politics of the plot ended up being something I didn't love. I felt that there was too much going on in the story and there were new characters I didn't really care for. Even with old characters, I felt they didn't shine the way they did in the other books. This book is spearheaded entirely by Emily, which was great in the other novels but came across a bit frustrating in this one. There was also a severe lack of Wendell—character-wise but also romance-wise. Overall, not a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.
Moderate: Confinement, Death, Self harm, Suicide, Violence, Blood, Death of parent, Murder, Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Sexual content, Alcohol
