Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop by Rebecca Raisin

5.0

In December I am always in the mood for Christmas books so I asked Erin if she would be up for buddy reading one with me since we've pretty much been buddy reading a book every month for a while now. She said yes and she even suggested we read this one and I am so glad she did because I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, this one wasn't working for Erin and at this point I'm not sure she even finished it. But for me it's my favorite read of December so far.

Flora will take some getting used to for some people. She is unapologetically herself. She's outspoken and honest to a fault. Those little traits of hers are what is keeping her from holding down a job or a boyfriend. She often times speaks/acts before thinking about the consequences and it's gotten her in trouble many times. No one seems to be able to handle her quirkiness. And did I mention she loves Christmas! Like really loves Christmas!! For me I loved Flora immediately. I loved that she knew what she wanted and went for it although I will say that some of her requirements for a future husband were weird, but it just added to her charm. We then have Connor who is Flora's complete opposite in every way possible. The antics that ensue in this book just had me laughing so much. The things Flora does and says was just hilarious at times.

The ending felt a little bit rushed to me but other than that this book was amazing and even that couldn't keep me from giving this book 5 stars. Flora became my favorite character of the year and quite possibly of all time. I will for sure reread this every Christmas from here on out. This was my first book by this author, but it definitely will not be my last.
