Such Men Are Dangerous by Lawrence Block

3.0

This was an interesting read due to the age of the book (published decades ago but holding its age well) and the main protagonist.
Written before PTSD was officially defined, it describes a man who finds little reason to do anything due to a lack of connection or emotion towards others. Sociopathy is an accurate description but as events unfold that definition becomes more nuanced with his actions.
The only thing that was jarring for me was the references to atomic grenades. I think the author meant nuclear mortar shells but even that doesn't make much sense to me.
Overall, it was a very interesting look into a sociopathic personality, lying on the outer edges of teh spectrum.
