I know the description of Greek mythology meets Hunger Games is incredibly overused for this book, but there really isn't a better way to describe it. I'm a sucker for any kind of mythology, so I was really hoping to enjoy this book and I definitely did. It was slow in places, especially at the start, but that didn't bother me too much. There were a couple of, for me, predictable elements, but there were also enough twists that I hadn't expected so I didn't mind. I really liked the characters and the way the fantasy elements interacted with the real-world setting.
Graphic: Sexual assault, Murder, Violence, Torture, Sexism, Pedophilia, Misogyny, Gore, Death of parent, Death, Child death, and Blood
Moderate: Terminal illness and Cancer
