This was my first Mia Sheridan read and I really enjoyed it. Rory and Gage were a perfect match in an imperfect setting. They had some obstacles to each overcome and I enjoyed the 'mystery' along the way.
I especially loved Rory's life with her brothers, Cake's and Ale (the bar/restaurant she worked at) and the path she takes to discover her lineage and herself. The people she met along the way were great side characters that I wish she had a little more time to deeply connect with. Characters from other books made appearances which was fun, even though I had never read them.
This made me really want to read Archer's Voice and dive into the whole world of Mia Sheridan.
