Forever in Cape May by Jennifer Probst

5.0

best friends for years, they cross the line to more. much more.

In this 3rd book in the Sunshine Sisters series, the focus turns to Taylor, the youngest Sunshine sister, who has always wanted to travel and explore the world. She’s never wanted to be a wedding planner but for the past few years, she’s stepped in to help her two sisters run Sunshine Bridal. She and her best friend since high school, Pierce, a Cape May photographer always in demand, work well together on the wedding industry. But now, with the business a success and her sisters finding the loves of their lives, Taylor is concentrating on her painting and is presenting her work in an art show for new artists in Paris. She can’t wait to finally get out of the small beach town of Cape May. She’s realizing everything she’s ever wanted! Or…….is she?

One night of too much tequila turns into passion between Taylor and Pierce. They soon discover feelings, long denied, and with Taylor due to leave for Paris soon, they have no idea how to navigate this new type of relationship.

I’ve enjoyed all 3 books in this series, the struggles of the Sunshine sisters to realize their happily ever after might be right in front of them, but this book is my favorite. I’ve smiled at Taylor and her bluntness in the previous books and was excited to see her and Pierce take their relationship beyond friendship. Jennifer did not disappoint in this story and as in books 1 and 2, this Sunshine sister also had struggles to find her happily ever after…..which was right there in front of her all the time. I loved the evolution of Pierce from wedding photographer to wanting to use his talent in other photography challenges. Their struggles to realize they can have a real relationship, not just friends, was worth the wait in the end because Taylor’s grand gesture to win back Piece was emotionally beautiful.

I recommend all 3 books in this series. They are all stand alones with interconnected characters in all three. Loved all the stories and adventures set in Cape May - Jennifer, you did Cape May, New Jersey proud.
