Took me a while to get into and then once I did, I could only partially connect to the characters despite there being a lot of relatability. There's a lot of repetition and it felt like it was dragging on, especially towards the end. The story is serious with a sweet tone and I really liked how magical the writing felt. I would love to read something by Morgan Rogers again, but rather with characters that don't read like a fever dream because while it was very intruiging, the execution was just a bit ill-fitting.
