Oh, my stars! It turns out that there is more than one secret keeper in this book. It is the story of a young girl, her young man and a friend that they picked up along the way. It is told through the eyes of the daughter and in typical Morton fashion, you can expect going back in time to see what happened. The book opens with a murder that is clearly being covered up. As the story unfolds, we fall in love with the characters and then we hate them and then we fall in love again. I loved this story all the way to the very last page, where all things are wrapped up tidily. Wonderful!
