The Scar by Marina Dyachenko, Sergey Dyachenko

5.0

I was very impressed with this book. The mode of story telling, especially the setup in the beginning, is just different enough from your typical fantasy novel to stand out while drawing you in, and the voice the story is told in is beautiful. The characters are convincingly drawn and truly feel human, while the fantasy elements drive the story without overwhelming it. This book shows fantasy can also be gorgeous prose. I look forward to reading more from these authors.
