Death of X by Charles Soule, Jeff Lemire, Aaron Kuder

3.0

I often feel like some of these comics where they want the heroes to fight other heroes leave the writer with the task of trying to make two otherwise sensible groups who all know they would be better off working together turn on each other. I did a lot of eye-rolling while reading this. Also, the "twist" was super obvious.
Having said that, I don't necessarily feel that Emma was out of character (for a change! What even is IN character for her anymore? After Bendis warped her so badly, who can tell?). She has a lot of survivour's guilt that she's never dealt with, some self-loathing, and Scott has long been the only one who treated her like a human being. So yeah. I buy it. I think the premise of IvX is stupid and I wish the whole lead up was different, which would make Death of X unnecessary, but as for the actual events, I buy it.
Hate most of the art, though.
