This book took me 5 YEARS to finish! I purchased it from a bargain bin at Barnes and Noble. This book traveled cities, states, and countries with me never being completely finished. I'd lose it for a year and have to restart, or try and remember what had happened to the characters.
Finally, this year I was able to finish it! It was a fun read, but ultimately disappointing. The first half of the book was slow-moving, which is probably why it took me so long to finish. Once I got to the last quarter I couldn't put it down though!
This suspenseful novel does pay off in the end, but you should know that it almost romanticizes pedophilia. The main character that
dies is 15 and having an affair with multiple men in the book
