Note - I read this for class but missed a few from being sick, so I got lost in the reading. I'll read this again and hopefully have a clearer view/reading.
"What do you do with a story that you want everyone to hear, but no one will listen?"
Shammas wrote this novel for Israelis, to share his story of being a Palestinian Christian. It's a moving story, mixing reality and fiction. There is so much going on constantly, a mix of standing still and constantly moving.
It's beautifully written but can be confusing to follow sometimes.
