The Dew Breaker by Edwidge Danticat

4.0

Not even sure if this should really be classed as a "novel," considering how broadly it ranges in time and space. I was pleased at the end to have something of a pay-off to the revelations of the first chapter. Danticat's writing is wonderful, and the subject matter here is powerful. I will definitely be reading more of her work.
