Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer
5.0
Give this book room to percolate, to saturate. I tried borrowing it from the library, but it's better to just buy it. There's plenty of wisdom to come back to, again and again.
You cannot go wrong with the combination of botany professor, tribal elder, and poet. Kimmerer creates a collection of essays that goes beyond just celebrating and mourning the natural world. She creates a lens you can apply to your own worldview (and you should).
