Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.

This type of story is not for me. As someone who grew up in art classes and surrounded by it I felt like I was being talked down to as someone who knew nothing, but also felt like I was being told that art is life-changing and so deep you just don’t understand it. Maybe it’s just because I’m more of a designer than a free-spirited artist, but I felt like the premise of the story gave the hobby/career more credit than it’s worth? Other people may like it, but again, it just wasn’t it for me.
