A really good and necessary book for our times. This book has a few themes going - mostly the importance to vote and do as much as you humanly can to encourage others to vote. This book also discusses racism and how hard it is growing up in a world surrounded by racism. And it also has a bit of teenage angst in it. The storyline was really well thought out and the author did a great job with the characters and although I wasn't a big fan of the teenagery stuff, I enjoyed the story and how it progressed.
