Relentless by Robin Parrish

1.0

'Relentless' would make an excellent film; it is so visual. However, I cannot recommend it as a book to anyone, especially proofreaders. The spelling errors, layout issues, and downright vocabulary problems ('metal grinded against metal'. GRINDED? Oh, puh-lease!) - these all contribute to an agonising read.

This book reads like something written as a NaNo novel (challenge of writing a 50,000-word novel in one month). On the challenge you are warned that some of your pages will be absolute rubbish, but fanfiction is allowed because you won't be *printing and distributing* something that infringes on copyright. I agree with some of the other reviewers on Goodreads that this copies things like X-Men; the motto is taken directly from 'Galaxy Quest'...all of this would be acceptable in a privately-written novel, but in a book that is distributed by Amazon?

An interesting plotline, but I have the strangest feeling it has been done before...
