Holmes and Watson were definetly at a more stable point in their relationship, which was nice to see.
I loved the setting of oxford, which is a beautiful town. It did almost remind me of 'If we were villains' because of the Shakespeare play and the friends with some sort of secrets between them. All the characters were very interesting and it was a fun mystery. I don't think I prefer Charlotte's POV to Jamie's. I kind of like not totally understanding her thoughts and emotions, somehow. That is to say it was still wonderful and a nice nod to Conan Doyle at the end.
Holmes and Watson have an incredibly complex relationship, so where it left off made sense. (Even though it might have broken my heart a little not to see a perfectly ever after ending lol). But I liked that there were lots of possibilities of where the relationship could go from there.
