Taida by Anatole France, Anatole France

5.0

Ordinary book. The only little problem I had is the romanticization of Taida, poor guy was touch starved and needed love. They were cute but the demonization of her beauty turned her godly in his eyes. Even tho Christian, a little pagan. Loved the critiques on the Bible and the takes on it by the philosophers at dinner. Deaths were tragic and the end was marvelous
