Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall

5.0

Boyfriend Material felt comforting and extremely wholesome. I hadn't expected much - the rom com genre isn't my particular favourite but this book is what I'd call a once in a lifetime exception. The rawness of letting yourself be loved shown in this book were truly wonderful, and Luc's narration felt like looking in a mirror and seeing parts of myself reflected back, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I can't exactly put what I feel for this book into words, but know it's a wonderful, captivating read, with humour and unexpected tenderness.
