Red Dragon by Thomas Harris

4.0

The writing throughout the book was twistedly captivating and provided insight into the inner workings of some very twisted (yet somehow also very fictional???) characters. Brilliant horror. My only possible critique I could offer was that the ending was a little predictable. But with such iconic status in the horror community, I was shocked to find so much of the book 'new'as it were, or expressed in a way where the tropes were nuanced. I will be reading the next book by Harris ASAP.
