I really liked the plot I found it very interesting and thought the pacing was well thought out, so imagine my surprise when the throw away best friends is shown to be black. No not by a good description that would be ok or by a bad description no that would be too easy she was shown to be black by being named Temper stroke one black women can never escape the angry black woman sterotype not even in a world with fae and sirens😩 or saying things like I’m from Oakland so I know bad people??? Would love the author to unpack that one! Or ooo only ever black Jesus huh it was my number one complaint and the reason I won’t be able to in good faith continue this series. The only other issue I had was it did the two timelines thing that I hate aswell
