Champion of Midnight
by Debbie Cassidy
So onwards and upwards. The world building grew in this book and started to get meaty and interesting which was good, but yet again, I worry this genre is just not for me.
Serenity was sassy, irritating, thoughtless... dare I say, stupid and naive? Yet she is so terribly special. Kill me now. Yet another snowflake.
Apart from having to ‘feed’, there are no hot times, no emotional connections, just hot guys milling around with potential. I got a bit tired of the very slow burn. There is no emotional connection going on here, just some banter now and again.
I’ve got this far so I’m ploughing on as the world building has my interest. I hope it becomes less of one event after another relating to a new magical being and starts to join up a bit more.
