man, I haven’t read a lot of King but the feeling I am left with is that it is a book that first of all constructed und then …written. It feels like he takes some elements, puts them together and writes the story and it makes sense and it shouldn’t be a bad thing but somehow it is.
There are the elements he puts in the story where you know they will come up again and you just wait for it. And the it was clear that the lovestory will be a deciding factor at the end with resetting everything. I hoped for more of a twist from the color card guys. And it somehow felt like a comfy read with all the things resurfacing just a tad different you know but then at the end where he dances with the confused grandma like I know the love story and all and it sounds nice but still it is a different reality and they are basically strangers… I don’t know about that.
What else, the whole Oswald stalking thing takes up way too many pages. It felt like King really wanted to put the facts in there, wanted to prove that he researched it well enough or something. Otherwise I wouldn‘t have really minded the length.
It was entertaining, it was alright.
