Wow! I haven’t been disappointed by Gracie Ruth Mitchell yet! I’ve only read two of her other books, but each book has been a bit magical. And with a genie as a main character, this book is obviously dosed with a bit of magic!
Speaking of genie, I absolutely adore Alaric. He’s not human so his blunt, gruff exterior can be excused, and is actually sort of funny. Like a kid who says whatever he or she is thinking. It’s fun. And Clementine helping him to adjust to a human world, while showing how much she really loves abd cares for people simply because they’re people, it’s a really good time.
