The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

3.0

I can see why people really love this book, I really can. But I can also see why people really dislike this book.
For me, I'm somewhere in the middle. I loved the atmosphere/setting of it, the beginning and how Susie explained what happened to her (to put it briefly), and the family dynamic.
But as the book went on and they veered away from the murder, I kind of lost interest? I understand, that's probably the point of this book, to overcome and move on from a tragedy, but I think I just wanted more?
I also did see the movie (yearssss ago in theaters) before reading it, so my relationship with the material is a little different then some I'm sure.
