So today I won an ARC of the second book and quickly realized that I haven’t even read a book one, I decided to read it now. And I finished it literally sitting in one sitting. I could not stop reading this book. The moments that I couldn’t sit down and read it, I grab my headphones and made Siri read it to me. This book was that good at that I literally could not stop.

When Rune runs for her life from her fated mate who is extremely abusive, she runs into the lands of other shifters. Not knowing it at first the mystery of why all these people are looking at her weird and treating her different, come out when she gets close to a few male shifters who take an interest in her. Secrets come out when they realize that she is a shifter but can’t shift do to something that her fated mate did to her.

This is a slow burn. And full of mystery. I can’t even explain everything that happened. It’s just so good. She gets stuck in this town after a car accident, and quickly find a job so she can pay the mechanic to get her car going again. And from there the story just kind of takes off.
Rune Has lived a hard life. She’s been betrayed by her own mother. Her fiancé treated her absolutely horrible. She’s been on the run never staying in one place for long. And then she gets stuck in the small town full of wolves and let me just tell you this book leaves off on an insane cliffhanger. I cannot wait for book two. I already am dying for the ARC that I won!
