Tender, melancholic and almost too close to my parallel reality.

I love how when we're exploring our reads, sometimes, it comes to us in the best of times. And this book not only surprised me with its tender but vivid prose, it captures a sense of melancholy from the perspectives of two people - both different but also similar.

On the surface, its a story of a platonic friendship, in the remembrance of one of them who chose death as a means to be alive. But its also a story of grief - in encapturing memories of a person that holds an amount of significance in your life.

I relate to Fanny more than I should. It broke me. It caught me whole. I love this book.

4.25🌟 and I'm happy it made it into the shortlist.
