My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry
by Fredrik Backman
I honestly love this book so much.
It's masterfully woven together and as funny and heartwarming as it is heartbreaking at moments.
All of the characters are nuanced and complicated, sometimes unlikable, but ultimately, you come to understand and love them all in some form or another.
This book truly is a lovely journey through the eyes of one incredible 8 year old girl, dealing with grief, fairy tales, and putting together the many pieces of her beloved grandmother's life with the sometimes reluctant help, support, and love of her parents as well as the other adults in the building they all share.
This really was an adventure, and while it will almost certainly make you cry, I absolutely implore you to read it.
