All the Little Lies by S.J. Sylvis

1.0

GOD I wish I hadn't seen this recommended on BookTok. It was awful.

Usually I enjoy this troupe of bad boy/nice girls but not when the writing is this bad. I feel like this must be an easy money-making book troupe. Most of these books follow the exact same storyline of fight/make up and rinse and repeat and usually I enjoy the trashy/cringey romance but I can't be bothered when the writing is this bad. It was honestly awful. It was like the author wrote some dialogue and then went back and added in some thoughts for the characters and then actions. I don't know how many times I read 'she let out a breath...she exhaled through her mouth....' The chapters change POV from the main girl and Christian and were told in the first person but there was no connection to any of the characters. ZERO
Also, none of the other characters existed in my eyes because they had no lives that didn't revolve around the main girl. I could go on and on about just have awful these types of books are. I like this troupe but I just can't with how bad some of these books are being written.
*Dialogue...Christian clenches his fists....Girl exhales through her mouth....argument.... makeup....rinse and repeat for the entire book *
Won't be so tempted to try another booktok recommendation for a while I think.
