Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward

Everybody loves a road trip, right? Oy. Lucky us, we get to read about this one rather than get in that car.
Expected after reading Salvage the Bones and blurbs for this: the prose that makes you slow down, the strong reliance on internal dialog, the importance of family, the sense of place.
Not so expected: thinking about what makes a bad parent, mulling about intentions and choices, and ghosts. Ghosts!
