The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan

4.5

Percy has been avoiding the Great Prophecy for years, but now it looks like the prophecy is coming back to haunt him. Before his 16th birthday, he will make a decision that will either destroy Olympus or save them all. The war with Kronos is not going well, and Kronos is planning to attack New York City. Percy and his friends try to gather all the help they can to defend the city and protect Olympus, but it does not look like it will be enough.

I loooooove it! What an excellent series, and the ending was the best book of the lot! I just adore all these characters, and I cried and cried when some of the demigod campers die in this last book. There is something so beautiful and sad about a noble hero sacrificing himself to protect others. But even with all the deaths and war and destruction, there is still a lot of humor and sass in this book that had me laughing in the middle of my tears.
