I love an amateur sleuth mystery. Bonus points if the sleuth is an older woman who knows she is smart, innovative, and creative. Judith, our sleuth, is in her 70s and LOVES word puzzles — even making a few of her own. One day as she was going for her daily swim, she heard her next door neighbor being yelling out and a gun shot. After trying to get the police to solve the case, she realizes that no one is taking her seriously and needs to step up to solve this murder... and a couple of others along the way. In the book, she finds two other accomplices — one who is a pastor's wife and stay at home mom and a tell it like it is dog walker — to help solve these cases in Marlow, their small English town.
