It's interesting how Shirayuki and Zen's arcs are intertwining. As Shirayuki and her gang start to move towards making connections in order to light up the north, they hear how Zen's actions affect others' perspectives of him. The conflict with the Bergat house has caused a bit of a negative reflection on Zen. Others perceive the Bergats as traitors, while Zen is the only one giving them a chance. Thus, when people encounter Shirayuki, they know her connection to Zen and look on her suspiciously. The new characters, Eisetsu and his aid, are also unique, and I loved seeing Ryu stand up for herbalists everywhere, telling him not to take advantage of their care for others.
