I always have a good time with a Karin Slaughter book. Somehow I read her books so fast no matter how long the chapters, but these chapters were loooong.
I was surprised at the fact that I guessed all of the big reveals long before they were revealed. I did try really hard though, so I’m not upset about it.
I also didn’t love the few fatphobic lines even though they did come from bad characters. Still didn’t find it super necessary.
And even tho it did take place in the early aughts, I still hate to see Harry Potter references. Let’s just make her irrelevant please.
