Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery by Brom
4.0
This was a buddy read I did with Jonny. This isn't a book I would typically pick up on my own. It was on my TBR because the synopsis intrigued me, but I never picked it up until Jonny suggested it as our next buddy read and I'm glad he did because it probably would have sat on my TBR for years going unread. This book is different to what I normally read but overall, I enjoyed my time spent reading it. It was a bit of a slow start but once things picked up, I was on the edge of my seat. I will say the fantastical elements had me a bit confused at times, and it was a bit weird, but it all worked in the end. The thing this book excelled at was pissing me off. The injustice happening in this book had me wanting to do some not nice things to certain characters and I'll leave it at that. I can definitely see myself reading more books by this author.
