Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid

Before there were Karens, there was Alix.
I really enjoyed how this book took on underlying racism without being in your face. It's the subtle situations and dialogue that may be missed by some, but recognized by those of us who've experienced and deal with racism everyday. Not everyone will get the same messages from the story, but that's the beauty of it because one's life experiences will determine what you take from this book.
