3.5

It was solid, 3.5, and I read this book in a day. This captured me in the same way Stalking Jack the Ripper did--by combining a slow burn between reluctant allies with a murder mystery wherein it's fairly obvious who the culprit is though there are many interesting leads.

Embodying each of the seven deadly sins within the individual princes of hell was fun! I enjoyed seeing how their powers manifested to influence others.

Emilia, as @alexioareads said, suffers from dumb FMC syndrome, rushing to illogical conclusions and feeding the flames of miscommunication. So unlike SJTR, I didn't care for her as much, but Wrath has promise as a multidimensional character and I am looking forward to that.

There were several moments where I thought I had missed some information and went back to reread only to find out that I hadn't missed the information, but that the narration just talked about the information as if it was already known to the reader. Not my favorite style but not a deal breaker.
