This is definitely a self published urban fantasy. A little rough around the edges, but with a fun core. Set in Toronto, the story posits there's a secret magical society living right alongside normal humans. The magical elements of society are organized into guilds which self govern their members. Tori, our main character, is a plain old human who knows nothing about magic. Unfortunately, she's terrible at keeping a jobs (due to problems with keeping her temper!), so shows up, desperate for a job, at a sketchy bar after finding an advertisement for a bartending gig on flyer. Despite her sass and penchant for throwing things on customers, the bar wants to hire her. The only problem is, the bar's a guild and should have never let her in in the first place.

Fast read, none of the other characters are as well drawn as Tori, but undeniably entertaining.
