🖤 “You are my freedom. The reason I fight the demons, and the reason I want to survive.”

Calista is such a strong and resilient woman. She’s been through so much and her past is yet to release its claws from her. Even more, she’s so fierce, stubborn, determined, caring and willing to face any hardships thrown her way and do everything to protect the people she cares about. And that sass! Calista is amazing and I loved her so, so much!
And then, there’s Ronan - an ex-convict, who’s finally out after 15 years in prison. Ronan is a dark, dangerous and intense man. He’s closed off to the world and doesn’t let anyone get too close or touch him. Even more, he’s fiercely protective of what he considers his and will burn the world to protect the people he cares about. But he’s also an absolute Consent King! And that dominance and filthy mouth of his! Ronan has been through so much trauma and, yet, he’s a phenomenal man and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I loved everything that happened between Calista and Ronan! Unknowingly, both end up in the isolated family cabin in Sapphire Valley. I loved those two together! I loved the tension, the banters, the bickering, the push and pull, the intimate moments when they learned to open up to each other. Both are so broken and come with quite the baggage and dark past. But they are also more alike than they’re willing to admit. They did their best to resist the forbidden attraction, but when they finally gave into the undeniable need, the passionate moments they shared were delightfully dark and depraved and I couldn’t get enough. Calista and Ronan’s road to happiness was an intense, messy, emotional and very bumpy one, but after everything both went through, they more than deserved to find happiness and love together.
Overall, Heavy is a dark, intense, emotional and gloriously filthy story and I loved every page of it!
