me, an intelectual: this book captures so well the desperation of realizing how much we need love in so many shapes and forms and how unbearable life can seem when you can’t find the type of love you need anywhere. the juxtaposition between this gut-wrenching fear of dying alone and the gut-wrenching feeling of falling in love again and feeling you’d do anything for this person. you would die for this person, because not even death is scary when compared with this love. 

also me: straight women are so fucking crazy they’ll fuck a fish if it treats them well enough
