Arc review ( A little late Imaoo)

This is a sapphic rivals-to-lovers story between Maddox and Havoc, and I was really excited to read this book, but I was not prepared for the hard topics in this book, so it took me a bit of time to read it.

We meet Havoc first, and instantly I was taken aback by her character; she was not what I was expecting at all. I sympathize with her and loved the way the author depicted grief through her, and I understood every decision she took. It didn't stop me from being greatly irritated by the outcomes of those decisions. She took me on a roller coaster ride for sure, and I'm really sad that we did not get to see more of her character development in this book, and it just skipped to where she was in a better place.

Maddox, I despised her character at first, but she really grew on me. She was never judgmental and never tried to control Havoc's actions but to understand her and lead her to the right path. Their chemistry was undeniable; the tension and the banter was so delicious. And the fact that they're connected through small facts made it even better; But I wished the switch from love to hate between them happened more gradually, but overall I really enjoyed their romance and the found family we got to explore. It was so beautiful.

I also enjoyed the authors writing so you should definitely give this a try if your interested but beware of your triggers.
