I love a good enemies to lovers and this one did not disappoint!!
Eva has always hated Gavin King for one reason and one reason only. He destroyed the future of one of her friends, or so she thought. So, when he presented a living arrangement for her, and it was her last option only she took it and decided to use it to her advantage. Like they say keep your friends close but your enemies closer. She would gather his secrets and expose him to destroy his future like he did to her friend. The only thing she didn't take into account was her heart. And whether she liked it or not, Gavin slowly broke down her walls and stole it.
Eva and Gavin's story are a true enemies to lovers. They hated each other based off of stories or assumptions. But the more time they spent with each other the more they grew on each other. I loved how much Gavin cared. You can tell that when he loved he loved with his whole heart. Eva may not be that spoiled rich girl everyone thought she was, and Gavin isn't the bad boy/ drug addict everyone thinks he is. It goes to show you should never judge someone without getting to know them fully. Oh, we can't forget Henry, Eva's pet duck. This duck stole my heart lol. Like how could a pet steal the spotlight from the MC's and win the hearts of so many. I do love the bond between Cole and Henry though. I may be jealous of a fictional character.
