My expectations were very high going into this, thanks to Legends and Lattes, and it absolutely delivered. I love this snapshot of Viv back when she's young and still in love with sword slashing and reckless charges. I didn't think any friend group could compare to the Legends and Lattes gang, but Viv, Fern, Gallina, Pitts, Maylee, and Satchel (and Potroast, of course) form their own heartwarming, endearing pack that I was so sad to leave behind. Ultimate coziness, of course, and I'd say slightly higher stakes with the threat of Varine the Pale looming over the town of Murk. I really hope there's another book coming after this ❤
